The Gryphon's Egg Production Special FX classes are a series of classes devoted to the professional instruction of Special Makeup FX and prop techniques. These techniques include design, construction, application and their use.
All aspects of special effects will be covered over the series of classes including but not limited to basics, latex, foam latex, polyfoam, mold making, sculpting, application, blood teeth, eyeballs, puppets and animatronics.

Basic Prosthetic Class
Are you interested in the Special FX world? If so, this class is for you. Shawn Darling from Gryphon's Egg Productions FX classes will be holding a two day basic Prosthetics class which involves design and sculpting and mold making and casting of the piece and application. Class is June 4 and 5 and runs from 10am to 5 pm on both days. It is a 2 day class. Bring a lunch!

Gryphon's Egg Productions and Just Cos Cosplay Supply mask making class
Gryphons Egg productions is giving a mask making class on August 13th and 14th in Albuqueque NM from 11-6 on both days. Cost is $200 for the class and all materials are included in the price. Shawn Darling has been doing special F/X since he was 10 years old and has been doing F/X professionally for the last 25 years. He began studying with Foam latex and cable controlled animatronics at the age of 17. By the age of 19 he was working as an F/X artist on a feature length film. His work was quickly noticed and he was hired by Dean Jones of Star Trek: Deep Space 9. Other projects Shawn has worked on are Vampires Anonymous (Paramount: Michael Madsen, Steve Buscemi) Shadow Hours ( Brad Dourif, Peter Weller, Balthazar Getty) Wild Grizzly (Disney: Fred Dryer) Music Video for the Vandals, WTBS The Chimp Channel, Story Tellers (Tippy Hedren) and My50 TV's The Witching Hour to name a few.
Shawn is now bringing his skill and experience to you in the form of Gryphons Egg Productions F/X classes. He is now booking for classes including life casting, sculpting, basic prosthetics, silicone lifecasting, resin, latex creature puppets, gelatine prosthetics and more!

Your seat is paid for and locked in and therefore cannot be given to another student, materials are bought for you from your fee and so the fee cannot be refunded once paid.
